In June 2016, long-time California attorney, Kate Kostrzewa, founded KDK Legal – a Half Moon Bay law firm focused exclusively on Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Probate Proceedings. Kate has lived on the San Mateo County coast for over 20 years. She is pleased to put many years of legal experience to work for clients in her local community and beyond.
Kate trained as a tax attorney while attending UCLA Law School. She began her career in 1990 in the Tax Department at Brobeck, Phleger and Harrison in Palo Alto. She then spent 20 years as a civil litigator in San Mateo County working primarily on employment, business, real estate, municipal law and probate matters. Kate also maintained an Estate Planning practice. Now a mom with a child in the Cabrillo Unified School District, Kate has moved on from the demanding and high stress world of civil litigation. She has returned full-time to her tax law roots by opening her own law firm specializing in Estate Planning, Estate Administration and Probate.
